Region of Queens Municipal Matters Spring/2018

[Region of Queens Municipality] The Spring/Summer issue of Municipal Matters was mailed to all mailing addresses in Queens County last week.

It is also available online on our website.

It’s filled with lots of points of interest about the Region of Queens Municipality’s programs and services … have you read your copy yet?

[Editor] The property tax bills for 2018 have been sent out this week. You should receive them shortly or can download them online if you have signed up for ePost.
The tax rate this year was increased by 2 cents to CAD $1.04 per CAD *100.– assessment value.
The FoxCreek Community is part of RQM District 6, Raymond Fiske.

DYK: Lyme Disease and the Risk in NS

[Region of Queens Municipality] It’s that time of year again … time to do a daily “tick check”. Black legged ticks carry Lyme disease, which may be transmitted to humans and pets if bitten by an infected tick.

If you spend time outdoors, do a tick check when you come inside.

Leaf & Yard Waste Pick-up Spring/2018

This year’s Spring Leaf & Yard Waste roadside pick-up for the FoxCreek community will be held during the week of 7-May-2018 to 11-May-2018 on our regular collection day.

The materials acceptable for pick-up shall include leaves, grass trimmings, and yard waste placed in clear or orange plastic bags (no plastics, cigarette packages, cups, etc.).
