On 15/28-Apr-2021 both our access roads to the FoxCreek community
– Old Kettle Rd from Mill Village to the Fox Creek turnaround
– Medway Harbour Rd, from Hwy 331 to the turnaround have been graded and leveled. The grader pulled all the gravel (and dirt) back onto the roads that was pushed to the side during snow removal.
Access road maintenance was done way ahead of the usual schedule as Spring weight restrictions have been lifted much earlier than usual too.
Maintenance on our subdivision roads will start soon.
While the roads look nice and smooth, they are not – smooth.
Be extra careful for the time being and avoid too sharp and pointy gravel where possible.
Remember, the speed limit on Old Kettle Rd and Medway Harbour Rd is 50km/h.
And the speed limit on all roads within the FoxCreek community is 30km/h!
This has the additional benefit of less wear & tear on your car’s tires and body. Not to mention – on dry days – less kicked up dust.
Though our community roads are one lane only, try to drive on the right as much as possible to avoid build-up of ruts (and help compact the road) and avoid driving over pot holes, particularly in rain, to slow down the expansion of the holes!
Thank you!
