The FoxCreek community experienced a power outage on 28-Oct-2016, from 7:17pm to ~8:55pm caused by strong winds.
FOXweather was not affected and data was updated and broadcasted during the outage.
FOXlive was updated but unable to broadcast its data.

The wildfire season has been extended until 22-Oct-2016 in the central and western regions of the province!!!
Wildfire Risk Season 2016 ended.
Burning restrictions are lifted as of 23-Oct-2016 until and including 14-Mar-2017.
During the fall/winter months from 23-Oct-2016 until and including 14-Mar-2017 brush fires are allowed 24 hours/day. It is no longer mandatory to consult the Burnsafe website before starting a fire.
However please use common sense when making brush fires by taking weather conditions into account. Even in winter months the soil can become fairly dry and also avoid fires on windy days!

Daylight Saving Time (DST) ends in USA and Canada !!!
The term “spring forward – fall back” is meant to trigger your memory to set your clocks forward one hour in the spring at the start of DST, and one hour back in the fall when DST ends.
In most of the United States, Canada, and Mexico’s northern border cities when local daylight time is about to reach Sunday, 6-Nov-2016, 02:00h (2am) clocks are turned backward 1 hour to Sunday, 6-Nov- 2016, 01:00h (1am) local standard time instead!
Sunrise and sunset will be about 1 hour earlier on 6-Nov-2016 than the day before. There will be more light in the morning.
Fall clean-up (Sperrgut) for the FoxCreek community takes place in the week starting Monday, October 24th, 2016.

Generally, items acceptable for pick-up are over-sized items and items not regularly collected on your regular collection day. These items shall not exceed 150 lbs. in weight or 6 feet in length.

Founded in 2012…Afterglow Art Festival is a free art at night celebration of community creativity held in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. For three years the event has brought together artists of all kinds, from budding young artists to experienced professionals from across Lunenburg County to bring exposure to the talent of our rich community. Inspired by the Halifax’s Nocturne Art at Night event, Afterglow hosts unique creative exhibits and experiences for citizens in public spaces in Bridgewater, in particular highlighting it’s downtown core – King Street.
Each project will be artist-led and each artist initiative is organized independently for the event. Last year (2013) we supported over 35 projects with over 150 artists.
