Many of us would welcome more daylight on the shortest day of the year. So here’s some good news: the year’s shortest day is becoming longer (but only by a few seconds).

Supermoon – Closest Full Moon to Earth Since 1948

A Supermoon happens when a Full Moon or New Moon coincides with the Moon’s closest approach to Earth; also called perigee. A Super Full Moon looks around 12% to 14% bigger.

This Supermoon is happening on 14-Nov-2016 and will be the closest a Full Moon has been to Earth since 25-Jan-1948.
