See below chart about snow removal in Nova Scotia. This chart does not apply to our private FoxCreek community roads.
Please note that our access roads Old Kettle Rd and Medway Harbor Rd will be plowed last in sequence and snow removal can take up to 24 hours after snow stops.
Be prepared and stock up on your basic needs!

El Niño is expected to weaken but slowly
2015 recorded one of the strongest El Niños. From November it has been slowly weakening with a transition expected to neutral conditions by next summer, although some models predict El Niño to last for much of 2016. Let’s summarize the main facts.

Spring 2016 is coming early …
… at least according to Shubenacadie Sam. Nova Scotia’s furry forecaster Shubenacadie Sam is forecasting an early end to winter.
Sam popped out of his burrow at about 8am today, and because of the partially cloudy skies overhead, did not see his shadow. And as the legend goes, winter will now end early! Yay!
Though, had Sam been on the South Shore this morning, maybe the outcome would have been different – at 8am another gorgeous winter day evolved with the sun already shining brightly.
Whether or not you buy into the folklore, Sam’s credibility is likely at an all-time high. Last year, he predicted a long winter and Nova Scotia was slammed with one of the worst on record.
