Spring (Weight) Restrictions, sometimes called Load Restrictions, are usually set in effect around mid March to mid May to prevent road damage from heavy vehicles during spring thaw.

While we are still ways from spring the current comparably mild climate – with temperatures changing from about minus 10 to plus 10 Celsius and back – aided by the recent heavy rains, create spring like conditions for our community roads.

While winter months with solid frozen roads usually are unproblematic, we remind our community members to take road conditions into consideration when bringing heavy equipment in to do construction work.

If construction work cannot be avoided please take it into your own hands to fix road damage to the respective community roads should it occur.

Our road maintenance budget does not have the funds for fixing road damage due to negligence.
