Power Outage, 13-Mar-2018

Another strong Nor’easter (the 4th this year) wreaked havoc along the South Shore of Nova Scotia, Canada, starting Tuesday afternoon, 13-Mar-2018, causing floods, storm surges, widespread power outages and communication line disruptions.

DST starts in USA and Canada on 11-Mar-2018

Remember: Sunday, 11-Mar-2018

Daylight Saving Time (DST) starts in USA and Canada !!!

The term “spring forward – fall back” is meant to trigger your memory to set your clocks forward one hour in the spring at the start of DST, and one hour back in the fall when DST ends.

DST+1In most of the United States, Canada, and Mexico’s northern border cities when local standard time is about to reach Sunday, 11-Mar-2018, 02:00h (2am) clocks are turned forward 1 hour to Sunday, 11-Mar-2018, 03:00h (3am) local daylight time instead.

Sunrise and sunset will be about 1 hour later on 11-Mar-2018 than the day before. There will be more light in the evening.

A different way to remember which direction to set your clock for Daylight Saving Time (DST) is that in the spring, you bring out (or forward) the garden furniture (clocks are set 1 hour ahead), and in the fall you put them back (clocks are set 1 hour back).

Is it Daylight Saving Time or Daylight Savings Time?
