Daylight Saving Time (DST) starts in USA and Canada !!!
The term “spring forward – fall back” is meant to trigger your memory to set your clocks forward one hour in the spring at the start of DST, and one hour back in the fall when DST ends.
In most of the United States, Canada, and Mexico’s northern border cities when local standard time is about to reach Sunday, March 13, 2016, 02:00h (2am) clocks are turned forward 1 hour to Sunday, March 13, 2016, 03:00h (3am) local daylight time instead.
Sunrise and sunset will be about 1 hour later on Mar 13, 2016 than the day before. There will be more light in the evening.
A different way to remember which direction to set your clock for Daylight Saving Time (DST) is that in the spring, you bring out (or forward) the garden furniture (clocks are set 1 hour ahead), and in the fall you put them back (clocks are set 1 hour back).
Super Moon Total Solar Eclipse on 8/9-Mar-2016
Rumor has it that there will be a Total Solar Eclipse coming up next week. And, yes, it’s true. On 8/9-Mar-2016 the moon swings right in front of the sun and will cover it totally for 4 minutes and 9 seconds … But it is all about location, location location!
So before you get too excited – no, the eclipse cannot be seen at all from Nova Scotia – or the North American continent. It will mainly play out over the North Pacific ocean/Indonesia.
