DST ends in USA and Canada on 5-Nov-2023

Remember: Sunday, 05-Nov-2023

Daylight Saving Time (DST) ends in USA and Canada !!!

The term “spring forward – fall back” is meant to trigger your memory to set your clocks forward one hour in the spring at the start of DST, and one hour back in the fall when DST ends.

DST-1In most of the United States, Canada, and Mexico’s northern border cities when local daylight time is about to reach Sunday, 5-Nov-2023, 02:00h (2am) clocks are turned backward 1 hour to Sunday, 5-Nov- 2023, 01:00h (1am) local standard time instead!

Sunrise and sunset will be about 1 hour earlier on 5-Nov-2023 than the day before. There will be more light in the morning.

The next Daylight Saving Time starts on 11-Mar-2024.

Is it Daylight Saving Time or Daylight Savings Time?

Power Outage, 23-Dec-2022

The FoxCreek community experienced a two-part power outage on Friday, 23-Dec-2022/11:43pm which lasted into Christmas Eve,  24-Dec-2022/5:44pm (18hrs 1min) for the first part (which seems to be from 470 OKR to HVD) and to 24-Dec-2022/7:02pm (19hrs 19mins) for the second part (rest), likely caused by the trees in the power lines from the winter storm popping the line breakers.

The restoration estimate was beat by 4 hours for the second part of the outage … just in time for fixing a less fancy Christmas Eve supper …
